Okay, what do you guys think? Should we get a groom’s cake also? I think Chris really wants one but feels bad about the money…but I just got a gigantic white dress that is definitely more expensive than a cake.

My thought is the groom’s cake would be more whimsical (and we all know that I love whimsy!) and would of course only be eaten by people who could answer a series of trivia questions about Chris.

I think groom’s cakes are fun! I’ve never been to a wedding that had one, though.
Let the boy have his cake…They are a very southern tradition, you know. The last wedding I attended had one shaped like a football stadium (for a very die-hard fan of Univ of Tennessee.) And it is a good excuse for more cake–and that is never a bad thing.
we had a crazy chocolate fish cake for the groom cake. it was a great contrast to the white formal cake and we all know how great chocolate is 9no matter the shape)
