Minted Giveaway—Feeling Generous (closed)

Okay readers: I have a giveaway at the end of this (short) post, because I’m feeling generous and kind towards you all.

First you must look at some pictures I took this week.

I love polka dots.

What it looks like in the pit where I spent much of my week. Or at least it felt like it. Tonight and Sunday afternoon, performances with Winter Opera St Louis.

Okay now that I’ve bored you (and seriously, did I only take two pictures this week? I’ve been crazy busy, evidently…)…(…)

Remember my post the other day about minted.com? Well, in exchange for that I got a code for a $75 credit to the site. However, this year I’m not planning to sending photo cards, so I thought, HEY let’s do a little giveaway. I’ll email the code to the winner and you can have $75 of cards to send for Christmas, or to use for anything you want on Minted.com.

How to enter: (giveaway closed! winner announced soon!)

1. Leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite type of Christmas cookie.  (If you can’t figure out how to leave a comment, make sure you click on the title of the post so you are looking at this post on it’s own, not as part of the main page.)

2. Email me at hannahviolin@gmail.com with a picture of your cat to be included in a Caturday post in the upcoming months. I would love more kitty pictures! Please leave a comment saying that you have done so. (If you’ve already sent pictures you can send more OR leave a comment saying that you did so in the past.)

So that’s two chances to enter—and be sure to leave TWO comments if you want to have both chances. The contest runs from now until next Friday, November 15 at noon CST, and I will randomly choose a winner at that time. Winner will be notified by email. Good luck!

  1. Cute! I was thinking of putting a santa hat on Bella’s head and using that as a Xmas card this year. 🙂

Favorite Xmas cookie — I can;t remember what they are called but there the little bite sized ones with the hershey’s kiss in the center. YUM.

  2. My favorite Christmas cookie are Sand Tarts. They are an almond cookie and they are delightful. I also like the peanut butter sugar cookies with the Hershey’s kiss in the center. Very good!

  3. Fun! Their cards are beautiful!

My favorite Christmas cookies are gingerbread/gingersnaps. With or without icing, I’m not picky. 🙂

  4. Since you’re smiling in the photo, I can only assume that you just finished running. Interesting outfit, though.

    Iced sugar cookies.

And, before I even knew there was a contest (that I have no need to enter), I sent you a Caturday e-mail. Serendipity.

    We’ll miss you at Skippo.

  5. My favorite cookies is a Chocolate cookie, iced with crushed peppermint sprinkled on top!
    Thanks for the chance!

  6. Two favorites: classic sugar cookies decorated with frosting and sprinkles, and also a cherry cookie dipped in chocolate. yum!

  7. It would probably be easier to tell you what kind of cookies I don’t like, but if I had to pick a favorite I would have to go with a tube of chocolate chip cookie dough.

  8. My favorite Christmas cookies are my mom’s butter cookies (from my great-grandmother’s recipe)

  9. You look super cute in the polka dots.

My mom’s iced sugar cookies, hands down. They’re the best in the world. For realz.

  10. I am allergic to cats so only am entering this way 🙂 My favorite cookies are my grandma’s sugar cut out cookies. close 2nd is chocolate chip 🙂

  11. I love the springerle cookies my Grandma used to make with designs pressed into them. They go great with coffee.

  12. My favorite Christmas cookie is a sugar cookie drizzled in chocolate with crushed candy cane on top! So fun to make and delicious!

I went to Minted’s website and just love their Our Snowflake Joy baby announcement/holiday cards. My husband and I are expecting our first baby in a couple weeks, thanks for the opportunity!
