I got a haircut, finally!  I haven’t had a haircut since before Thanksgiving.

And today, nobody noticed.  Or at least nobody said anything.  Oh well.  I think it’s hugely different.  I feel like my head is so much lighter, and my hair no longer chokes me in bed while sleeping.  I’m guessing she cut 4 inches? (I did metric estimation in Science Olympiad, not english estimation, plus I was never good at it.)

I am too.  It’s Friday night, end of a long week.  I’m vegging out in front of the television, watching Parenthood from a couple weeks ago (I’m behind.)  But, I wanted to share my photos with you!

Tomorrow night:  Home Wine Kitchen with friends, can’t wait.  I’ve been wanting to go for awhile and finally we are going!

I’m sitting here listening to the radio:  SLSO plays Brahms Symphony no. 4.  This morning I ran the Castlewood Cup 15k, it was really hard.  And I almost completely lost…I was in the bottom 10 people.  But I finished and I didn’t fall, and I need to run more trails because it was so fun and challenging.  Full recap to follow when I am less tired.

I just wanted to share a few pictures that have made me giggle or laugh out loud recently.  I hope they brighten your Saturday night if you are at home.  Or even if you aren’t.

Totally works!!

I keep a folder on my computer desktop labeled "blog ideas."  (I may have mentioned this before.)  When I find something fun on the internet, or a friend sends me a neat picture, or maybe when I screen cap something, I put it into this folder for when I need inspiration to blog. 

That would be tonight.  I’m tired.  I am not ready to write my half marathon recap.  I’m simply waiting for dinner to be ready (pasta! heating up in the oven, since I don’t have a microwave). 

I just perused the folder.  The stuff left that I haven’t used is all cats.  I kid you not.  ALL CATS. (except the stuff for my half marathon recap.  okay.  technicality, right?)

What does that say about me?

Even better, I think most of it is cat stuff I’ve already used but thought was too awesome to move into the "done" folder.  As in, cats I thought you’d want to see again.

Today is going to be all the fatness, all the time.  Most of these are from the summer and you’ve already seen them, but not all in one place.  Some at the end are from earlier, much earlier 🙂

It’s fitting today since the cat both woke me up but then encouraged me to stay in bed.  (In between somebody else fed her and then went to work…so I was being super lazy. )

Last night in a facebook conversation, my friend Sarah and I got on the topic of lolcats.  Well, to be clear, we were pretending we invented lolcats.   (What’s funny is I remember when Sarah FIRST told me about lolcats and I thought it sounded stupid…I used to also think camera phones, text messaging, and boys were stupid too…then again, at least one of those still is 😉 )

Then I got an email from her.

It says:  I made one of those "cat pictures" you are talking about.

A few minutes go by.

Another email:  Here is the nautical version.

I replied and asked if she could make a Mexican version.  (Probably not politically correct, but to our credit we have gone on a trip to Mexico together.)

A longer period of time passed, and then:

I was CRYING by this point.  Maybe you have to understand the nature of Sarah and my humor (and if you are reading still you surely do) but I was absolutely LOSING it at this point.  I promptly made this cat my facebook profile picture.

And then:

Sarah’s MS Paint skills are UNPRECEDENTED.   Such talent the world has never known.

Now, you may not find these funny.  But I do.  This morning I came up with the idea of a Hawaiian cat, with ukelele.  We’ll see what happens.
